Centrifuge is a device used to separate organelles by density through the deposition process. Centrifugation is a process that involves the use of centrifugal force to sediment mixed with a centrifuge, used in industry and in the laboratory setting. Components denser mixture migrate away from the axis of the centrifuge, while less dense component mixture migrate towards the axis. In the process, using the principle of rotation or a centrifuge tube containing a solution of rotation to separate by density. The solution will be divided into two phases, namely a liquid supernatant and pellet or organelles buildup. Centrifuge equipment consists of a rotor or a place to put the solution to be separated. This rotor will spin quickly which will lead to the solution will separate into two phases. The faster rotation is done, the more that can be precipitated cell organelles and vice versa. Chemists and biologists can add / improve the effective gravitational force on the tube, which is used in industrial and laboratory rules as a reaction, making it faster and actually cause sludge ("pellet") to gather on the bottom of the tube. The rest is called the solution "supernate" or "supernatant liquid". The liquid supernatant was then immediately poured from the tube without disturbing the precipitate, or withdrawn with a Pasteur pipette. The level is determined by the angular velocity of the centrifuge is measured in revolutions per minute (RPM), or acceleration expressed as g. The conversion factor between RPM and g depends on the radius of the sample in a centrifuge rotor. The particles' settling velocity in centrifugation is a function of size and shape, centrifugal acceleration, solid fractions, density difference between particles and fluid, and viscosity. At the level of the use of centrifuges, often experience a variety of disorders that damage caused by lack of knowledge of the use and maintenance as well as the age and volume of use of the tool. Therefore it is necessary to do continuous maintenance and repair so that the tool can be used perfectly. Keywords: Centrifugation, centrifugal force, Laboratory.
