Telecommunications technology on martphones is growing so fast today. Satellite navigation systems are popular and most widely applied to smartphones to find out information about locations around the world, namely the Global Positioning System (GPS). At PLN Rayon Purwokerto problem that most affected the electrical power system was distribution network bacause of the more dense and vast complexity of the state of the electrical network. Application of GPS-based applications on smartphones Maptrik provides solutions to ease in finding information on the location and the pole transformer to the operator. This application will display a Google Map of the transformer pole number that will be addressed to determine the route, distance and travel time. This application has a size of 3.26 MB so it can be installed on various brands of android smartphones and can run on all kinds of android smartphone operating systems with different versions of android. Connections needed in this application is a GPS satellite signal and Internet network access 2G, 3G, wiffi on smartphones. This application has an accuracy of time based on average connection speeds using WLAN network 3.06 seconds, 3.46 seconds on 3G network, 14.02 seconds on 2G network. On the results of testing the accuracy of the application using a 2G signal within about 95% accuracy, while using a 3G signal and googlemap have accuracy 97%.Keywords: GPS, Google Maps, Android, PLN Rayon Purwokerto
