Abstrak

Any crane should be stable in any position in operation and irrespective of its dead and live loads. The cuonter weight for such cranes should be selected to that the resultant of all the vertical force both in a loaded and unloaded crane is inside the bearing of balance. Accuont should also be taken of the area acted on by wind pressure and inertia loads. When the margin of stability is not hight, these additional loads will tend to tip the crane over.
