The aim of this research is to increase students soft skill and achievement while the general aim is to increase the teaching process quality in electrical technic department in SMK N2 Cilacap. The data results of this research shows that the increasing of soft skill rates 0,0475 (1,19%), by score 3,267 (81,675%) in cycle 1 and score 3,362 (84,05%) in cycle 3 for learning achievement have increasing rates 6,2 from initial score 75,53 and achievement score in cycle 3 is 94,13. The result of this research concludes that cooperative learning teaching type STAD can increase students soft skill and achievement and generally can increase quality of vocational competency learning of electrical power usage technic of SMK N2 Cilacap.
